Accessibility

Accessibility features and design goals for the Emberstone Support Centre, including keyboard access, readable states, reduced motion and Support Assistance.

Version 1.0 · 9 September 2026

1. Our approach

The Support Centre is designed around accessible support principles. The interface aims to remain usable with keyboard navigation, browser zoom, visible focus states and reduced motion. Colour is supported by text labels rather than being the only way a ticket state is communicated.

This statement describes the design target and current features. It is not a claim of formal third-party accessibility certification.

2. Features included

  • Keyboard-accessible navigation and ticket rows.
  • Visible :focus-visible states on interactive controls.
  • Reduced-motion handling for non-essential animation.
  • Text labels alongside priority, workflow and response colours.
  • Form labels, field descriptions and clear button wording.
  • Skip links on public policy pages and the authenticated Support shell.
  • Alternative text or decorative treatment for supplied interface images.
  • Support Assistance, allowing a trusted person to help with support using their own Emberstone account and restricted permissions.

3. Writing and communication support

The ticket composer includes optional writing assistance intended to help with spelling, readability and structuring a support request. Applying writing assistance does not automatically send the ticket. The member can review and edit the text before sending it.

4. Accessibility problems

If part of the Support Centre is difficult to use, create a general support ticket and describe what is blocking you. You can also use Support Assistance if you would prefer someone you trust to help communicate with Support.

5. Ongoing review

Accessibility should be rechecked whenever major UI components, forms, third-party embeds or new colour schemes are introduced. Keyboard use, contrast, labels, zoom behaviour and reduced-motion behaviour should be part of release testing.
